Credit agreements, hire purchase agreements and credit card agreements must comply with the Consumer Credit Act.

If your agreement with your lender doesn’t comply with the criteria set down in the 1974 Consumer Credit Act therefore making it invalid, you will be able to stop all future payments and the outstanding balances cannot be collected by the lenders.
